Hoosac Valley's Ciempa Ties School Record at Merrimack

Hoosac Valley graduate Trevor Ciempa has had a successful indoor track and field campaign at Merrimack College this winter.   The Merrimack senior won the high jump, tying the school record of 2.04 meters, at the Northeast-10 Championships. His score helped the team place fourth out of 11 teams at the meet. Earlier this year, he won the high jump at the Southern Maine Invitational, clearing 1.99 meters at the event.   Michael Kotleski (Monument Mountain) helped lead the Bridgewater State men’s track and field team to a first-place finish at the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference Championships. Williams College Baseball, Softball Host Indoor Youth Clinic

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Williams College softball and baseball teams are hosting a youth clinic on Sunday, March 11 at the Towne Field House from 3 to 5 p.m. for players ages 8 to 12.   The cost is $20 per player. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes early to register. Author to Speak at Berkshire Mall's Baseball Museum

LANESBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Baseball in the Berkshires Museum at Berkshire Mall will host a book talk with author Kevin Larkin on Saturday, March 3, from 1 to 2 p.m.   Larkin is the author or co-author of three books: "Baseball in the Bay State," "Gehrig, Game by Game," and "Baseball in the Berkshires: A County's Common Bond."   The event is free and open to the public.   The Baseball in the Berkhires museum is across from Spencer's Gifts in the mall.
