Kohl's Opens in Lenox, Grand Opening Friday

LENOX, Mass. — Kohl's department store is opening one of its new small format stores on Nov. 4 in The Center at Lenox shopping mall, located at 489 Pittsfield Rd.   "We are excited to bring Kohl's to this community. I think this community really needs something like this," said an employee no authorized to speak on record. "...I used to work at the [Lee] Outlets and everyone is always looking for something."    The store held a soft opening Sunday, Oct. 30. Functional Medicine Physician Joins CHP in Great Barrington

South County Daytime and Overnight Guardrail and Bridge Repair

LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced it will be conducting daytime and overnight hour guardrail and bridge repair operations on I-90 eastbound and westbound in Lee, West Stockbridge, Becket, Montgomery and Russell.    The work will be conducted at different times and locations from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, through 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.  Lane closures will be in place during repair operations.   The schedule for the work and lane closures will be as follows:   Daytime work:   Lee/West Stockbridge Bridge repair work will be conducted daily on I-90 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 0.5 to mile

WEST STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — West Stockbridge and Richmond ask residents and property owners to provide input to help the town to develop a plan to reduce flooding, improve climate readiness, and address stormwater runoff impacts in Richmond and West Stockbridge.   The towns want feedback on any locations that see recurring flooding, strategies used to reduce flooding, and your priorities for future projects. Investigation Into Sheffield Triple Fatal Crash Continues

SHEFFIELD, Mass. — State and local police are still investigating a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision that killed three and hospitalized five people Tuesday morning.   At approximately 5:30 a.m., a northbound Toyota Sienna minivan and a southbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck collided on Route 7 near Pike Road.   Three occupants of the Sienna, 27-year-old Prem Kumar Reddy Goda, 22-year-old Pavani Gullapally, and 22-year-old Sai Narasimha Patamsetti, died on scene. Great Barrington Gets State Grant for North Plain Road Affordable Housing Site

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The town has secured a $3.2 million MassWorks grant to pay for infrastructure costs at a planned affordable housing development on North Plain Road in Housatonic.   The project, a collaboration between the town and Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity, will include 19 affordable, energy efficient homes on a 7.25-acre site.
