LENOX, Mass. — David Albert Smith, 39, died suddenly at his home in Lenox on Friday, July 7, 2017.
Born in Norwich, Conn., on June 15, 1978, son of the late James Everett Smith Jr. and of Lisa M. Brunell Cahalan of Lenox, he attended local schools.
Mr. Smith was employed as a chef for numerous restaurants, although his favorite place of employment was the Old Heritage Tavern.
He enjoyed history, science, writing, poetry, cars, and had a love for ships and the Navy.
Besides his mother, he leaves his stepfather, Keith W. Cahalan; his children Eustacia Jade Smith, Owynn Lewys Davidson-Smith and Damian Megatron Smith; two brothers, Michael Anthony Cahalan and James Everett Smith III; his sister, Nicole Renee Smith, and his children's mothers, Colleen Bledsoe and Chasity Shepard.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Smith will be held Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m. from Raining Love Church in Pittsfield. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox. A calling hour will precede the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to
