Jeremy A. Saunders, 36

November 07, 2017

LENOX DALE, Mass. — Jeremy A. Saunders, 36, of Lenox Dale died Tuesday evening, November 7, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born in Pittsfield on August 16, 1981, to Charlene and the late Thomas S. Saunders. Jeremy was a 2000 graduate of Lenox High School. After high school, he worked in construction and landscaping.

Known by his friends as Bone, he was a kind and gentle soul with an infectious smile. The type of person who would give you the shirt off of his back, he is most often described by friends as a great kid, with a huge heart. He was wonderful with children, exhibiting a level of patience with them that many parents might find themselves envious of.

Jeremy enjoyed being outdoors and could often be seen walking his beloved dog, Nitro. That is, when Nitro wasn't walking him.  What he enjoyed most, was spending time with those closest to him. No matter the location, he could be found making those around him smile. Usually it was with one of a seemingly never-ending catalog of stories that would make the listener either belly laugh to the point of crying, or recoil in shock. And on occasion, he may have even taken part in the type of shenanigans that will long be remembered by those who were there.

Besides his mother of Lenox Dale, he leaves his two brothers, Jason T. Saunders (Monica) of Lenox Dale and Joshua D. Saunders (Rachel) of Housatonic; and two nieces and a nephew.

Funeral notice: The funeral of Mr. Jeremy A. Saunders of Lenox Dale will be Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 1 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul celebrated by Rev. Monsignor John J. Bonzagni. There will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers donations in Jeremy’s memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
