PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Rosemary Ann (Collette) Benoit, 65, of Pittsfield died Monday May 21, 2018, at her home after a long illness.



She was born in North Adams on December 27, 1952, the daughter of the late William and Shirley (Young) Collette. Rosemary attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School. She was employed at the former Green Mountain Race Track in Pownal, Vt., for many years and was a cashier at the Pittsfield Price Chopper Supermarket and most recently Guidos, retiring after more than 25 years.



She was an avid skier and loved traveling and her horse Jaman.



Survivors include her husband, David Leonard Benoit, whom she married in November 1969; her sister-in-law Charlene Benoit Cheesbro; two sons, Shawn Benoit of Cohoes, N.Y., and Shane Benoit and his wife Darla of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; five grandchildren, Amber, Nicholas, Carter, Emily Taylor Benoit and Tia Wood; a great-grandchild, Karson Benoit; two sisters, Donna Lesure and Susan Hartman; and several nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by a sister, Sheila Macek; and a brother, William "Billy" Collette.
