LENOX, Mass. — James J.P. Sarmuk, 66, of Lenox, passed away on May 23, 2018.
Jim was born in Pittsfield on March 17, 1952, to the late William and Frances (Gromelski) Sarmuk.
He leaves behind his sisters, Mary Ann Bauchiero (Dave) of Southington, Conn., and Jean Kushi (Kevin) of Pittsfield; his brother, William (Sandra) Sarmuk of Canton, Conn.; his cousin Lou Oggiani (Joan) of West Stockbridge, Mass.; his Aunt Helen Oggiani of Housatonic, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a great athlete at Windsor Mountain prep school in Lenox. He played three sports, where he was coached by Jack Brennan. After graduation, he attended Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn. Then he worked at New Britain machine for many years. Later he moved back to Pittsfield and worked at Rising Paper.
He helped take care of his parents in their later years, and enjoyed spending time with family, he will be greatly missed.
