The sun will be shining over the Berkshires most of the weeked but be prepared for possible thunderstorms on Saturday.
The National Weather Service is forecasting scattered storms late in the afternoon and into evening Saturday but only slight risk of severe weather. The primary threat will be damaging wind gusts, however, large hail is also possible.
Temperatures will stay in the 80s on Friday but dip slightly on Saturday into the high 70s and drop into the 60s to provide some relief on Sunday -- but also bring in more rain and possible lightning storms.
The thousands attending the Solid Sound Festival in North Adams should prepare for some rain over the weekend but hopefully not a deluge.
Accuweather is recommending keeping a close eye on the sky as these storms may move in quickly -- listen for the rumble of thunder and get inside. Sunday's cooler temperatures maybe be accompanied by gusty winds and localized severe weather could occur.
Check out the iBerkshires events calendar and Family time page to find out what you can do outside this weekend -- or inside if the weather turns bad.
