GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. The seventh annual ThinkFOOD 2020 conference will be virtual this year.
The Center for Food Studies at Bard College at Simon's Rock presents the 7th annual ThinkFOOD conference as a virtual event on Zoom on Saturday, Oct. 3, and Sunday, Oct. 4 with a special opening workshop on Friday, Oct. 2.
ThinkFOOD will feature panels to help viewers eat, shop, and think about food in a more sustainable way.
The keynote address will be by Brian Donahue of Brandeis University, author of "A New England Food Vision".
The conference starts Friday, Oct. 2 with an interactive kombucha workshop. This workshop will run from 5 to 6 pm.
On Saturday, Oct. 3 Shop and Eat Green: Avoiding Food Waste will run from 10 to 11:15 am, and Farming Systems as Social-Ecological Systems: Questioning the "Right" Way to Produce Food will run from 12:30 to 1:45 pm.
On Sunday, Oct. 4, the day will kick off with Food Insecurity in a Pandemic: How To Change the Food System from 10 to 11:15 am.
The virtual conference ends with a Keynote Address by Brian Donahue of Brandeis University: "A New England Food Vision: Linking Food Justice, Healthier Eating, and Sustainable Farming" from 12:30 to 1:45 pm.
