GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Triplex Cinema announces a special 25th anniversary screening of the cult classic comedy horror film "Psycho Beach Party," directed by Robert Lee King, written by Charles Busch, and starring Lauren Ambrose, Thomas Gibson, Amy Adams, and Charles Busch. After the screening, Lauren Ambrose and screenwriter/star Charles Busch will join Triplex board member Sam Handel for a discussion after the film. GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Triplex Cinema and Great Barrington Mason Library announce a special free screening of Stephen Chbosky's acclaimed film The Perks of Being a Wallflower, based on his novel of the same name. This screening is part of the Banned Books on Film Series collaboration between the Triplex and Mason Library. Starring Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller and Emily Watson, the film tells the story of an introverted teenager named Charlie and chronicles his trials, tribulations, and triumphs as he navigates his freshman year of high school. Berkshires Natural Resources Council Awarded Appalachian Grant12:28PM / Sunday, September 07, 2025 | | BOSTON — More than 17,000 acres of land will be protected this year after The Nature Conservancy’s Resilient and Connected Appalachian Grants Program provided up to $100,000 in grant funding to support projects that create a connected network of healthy lands and waters across 18 states in the Appalachians region from Maine to Alabama. One of the projects that won funding is in Washington. There, the Berkshires Natural Resources Council is working on the Depot Brook Corridor Project, located within a half mile of the Appalachian Trail to add to wildlife and climate resiliency. The residency focuses on writers who are developing their craft in the genres of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and plays. The residencies run weekly from March 1 - March 21, 2026. Three writers will be selected for each week. Residencies include lodging at a neighboring inn, a workspace at The Mount, breakfast, lunch, and a $500 stipend.
