Great Barrington Pedestrian Killed on Route 702:46PM / Thursday, January 25, 2024 | | GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — A Great Barrington man was killed Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Route 7. The victim was identified as Niall Nordoff, 41. According to his Facebook page, he attended Mount Everett Region School and worked in landscape design. Free Composting Drop Now Offered at Great Barrington Transfer Station10:21AM / Tuesday, January 23, 2024 | | GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — In collaboration with Berkshire Compost, the town Transfer Station will now accept composted food waste from residents of Great Barrington and Housatonic. The program is free. Compost is food waste that would otherwise end up in a landfill: scraps leftover from cooking or meals, cardboard and certain paper products.
