Remains Positively Identified as Missing New York Teacher04:23PM / Tuesday, December 13, 2022 | | LEE, Mass. — Remains found in Lee in September have been positively identified as missing New York State teacher Meghan Marohn. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Boston released the findings on Tuesday but was unable to determine cause and manner of death because of the condition of the remains. Marohn was identified through dental records and a forensic anthropological examination that showed the remains are the same sex, ancestry, and stature of Marohn. The examination did not reveal any signs of pre-death trauma. The office's toxicology testing revealed the presence of THC and organic products of decomposition. Berkshire County Fire Departments Awarded Grants Staff Reports , 02:50PM / Monday, December 12, 2022 | | STOW—The Baker-Polito Administration announced $5 million in grant awards to 308 fire departments from the FY23 Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant Program. In Berkshire County Adams, Dalton, Great Barrington, Lanesborough, Lee, Lenox, New Ashford, New Marlborough, North Adams, Peru, Pittsfield, Richmond, Sheffield, Stockbridge, and Williamstown all received grants. BOSTON — The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is alerting the public the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended the REAL ID full enforcement date from May 3, 2023 to May 7, 2025. Beginning May 7, 2025, every air traveler 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID compliant driver's license or identification card, or another TSA-acceptable form of identification, for domestic air travel and to enter certain federal facilities.
