 GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Berkshire Bach Society continues its 34th season on Sunday, Nov. 12, 4pm, with the second concert in its Harpsichord Festival—The Ensemble Harpsichord with Elliot Figg and Caitlyn Koester. The duo plays works by scions of the dominant keyboard dynasties in the Baroque era, J.S. & W.F. Bach and Louis & François Couperin. The event is a preview of the concert they will present on Nov. 30 at St. Malachy's Church in New York City, sponsored by Gotham Early Music Scene, Inc. GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Triplex Cinema, Inc., has announced that two of the four theaters at the Triplex Cinema will be re-opening on Nov. 17, with showings of Director Alexander Payne's "The Holdovers" and DreamWorks Animation's "Trolls Band Together." GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Housatonic Water Works (HWW) customers who have paid for the purchase/installation of water filtration systems, bottled water and laundry-related expenses may now apply for a reimbursement of up to $300 per household. The state has set aside $250,000 for this reimbursement fund, to be administered by the town. The application can be found here. To receive reimbursement (one per household) HWW customers must provide: Documentation of eligible costs, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2018.  MOUNT WASHINGTON, Mass. — Beginning on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, and continuing through Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will close the Falls Road parking lot at Bash Bish Falls State Park in the Town of Mount Washington to complete parking lot construction work. Due to the construction, the Massachusetts portion of Falls trail and the vista will be inaccessible. Parking is not permitted on Falls Road.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Northern Berkshire Sports Academy and the Saboteurs Sunday took home the A and B Division titles in the NBSA Fall Basketball League. Chris Brown scored the final four points of the game at the foul line to give NBSA a 71-68 win over Giardina and Bressett PC in the A Division final at Drury High School. Brown, who went 12-for-13 at the line in the game, finished with a team-high 28 points in the win. Scott McGuire scored 15 points, including 11 in the first half, when NBSA built a 41-37 lead. BOSTON — State Senator Paul Mark, on behalf of the Berkshire Delegation, announced that funding for the Rural School Aid grant program has been raised to $15 million for Fiscal Year 2024, resulting in increases ranging from 30-210 percent for schools in the Berkshire, Hampden, Franklin and Hampshire District. The program provides financial assistance to the Commonwealth's most rural school districts.
