Great Barrington Public Theater Annual Benefit to Honor Tristan Wilson

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Great Barrington Public Theater Annual Benefit will take place on June 14, 2025 at Saint James Place.    This year's honoree and recipient of the 2025 Black Bear Award will be Tristan Wilson.   Tristan Wilson served as the first Managing Director of Great Barrington Public from 2020 until his recent retirement in December 2024. He was integral to the operations of GB Public and helped launch the company to its full season and off-season programming.   Tristan Wilson and Jim Frangione were friends and partners while working at Berkshire Playwrights Lab in 2017 before Jim Frangione and Deann Simmons Halper co-founded Great Barrington

Lee Graduates Wished Well in 'Stranger, More Confusing' World

LENOX Mass. — Lee High School's class of 2025 was commended for their achievements in a "stranger, more confusing" world.

Fifty-one graduates crossed the stage at Tanglewood on Saturday as rain poured over the Koussevitzky Music Shed. Salutatorian Sophia Puntin said, "We've really been through a rollercoaster over the years, especially in middle and high school."

'Small, Tiny' Mount Everett Community Celebrates 2025 Grads

LENOX, Mass. — Generations of Mount Everett Regional School alum gathered Saturday to celebrate their latest members: The class of 2025.

It was noted that despite the clouds, there was a lot of sunshine on the Tanglewood stage as 37 students received diplomas. Principal Jesse Carpenter, the father of a graduate, has spent 31 of his 51 years on earth at the Sheffield school.

Mount Everett's Top Students Announced for 2025

LEE, Mass. — Kelly Molino and Sophia Puntin have been named the valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, for Lee High School's class of 2025.   Both will speak at the 148th graduation exercises of Lee High School at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Tanglewood.   Molino is the daughter of Karen and Nicholas Molino of Lee. Free Wild Edible Plant Hike in Great Barrington

Bliss Crumbs and Coffee opened on Main Street in January, taking the space where a former T-shirt company, Twisted Orchard, had been located. 

LEE, Mass. — Bliss Crumbs and Coffee is a new shop on Lee's Main Street that has been open for a couple of months.

Owner Becca Bliss Lilley said she loves when she bakes and decided one day to just open her own shop and leave her former position as a human relations manager.

MDAR Commissioner Visits Berkshire Dairy Farms

Agricultural Commissioner Ashley Randle presented father and son farmers Morven and Ian Allen with National Dairy Month proclamation. The Allen farm was the third she'd visited on Monday morning. 

SHEFFIELD, Mass. — State Agricultural Commissioner Ashley Randle visited three dairy farms in Western Massachusetts on Monday to recognize National Dairy Month.

"It's an opportunity to learn about dairies, how they're diversifying ways that we can support them at the state level, and also to highlight the impacts of our investments at the state level," Randle said.
