GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The town is using its latest round of federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to inject more than $1 million into local affordable housing initiatives, food security and community health care organizations. Combined with funding allocated earlier this year, the town has awarded more than $2.075 million in federal ARPA funds to local organizations. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), commonly referred to as Fuel Assistance, provides eligible households with help in paying a portion of winter heating bills. BOSTON — The Drought Management Task Force announced that Berkshire County remains at level 0 or normal drought conditions. This is not the case for the rest of the state. Crespo has held a series of roles with the city of Pittsfield, most recently as city accountant for seven years.  LEE, Mass. — Remains found in Lee in September have been positively identified as missing New York State teacher Meghan Marohn. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Boston released the findings on Tuesday but was unable to determine cause and manner of death because of the condition of the remains. Marohn was identified through dental records and a forensic anthropological examination that showed the remains are the same sex, ancestry, and stature of Marohn. The examination did not reveal any signs of pre-death trauma. The office's toxicology testing revealed the presence of THC and organic products of decomposition.
