Lenox Library Association Charity Poker Night

LENOX, Mass. — Lenox Library Association will host its second charity poker tournament on Friday, June 14 from 6-9 p.m. in the Welles Gallery at the Lenox Library.    This fundraising event will be hosted by Max Scherff, a Trustee of the Lenox Library Association, to offer community members and card players of all levels an opportunity to play poker while supporting a meaningful cause – the Lenox Library.   Poker Night Out at the library will be played in a Texas Hold 'Em tournament format which forces raised antes throughout the night to identify top four finishers who will win significant prizes donated by area businesses. MassDOT Advisory: South County Construction Operations

LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing crews will be conducting daytime and overnight hour guardrail repair, drainage work, pavement marking, and bridge repair operations at various locations and times on I-90 eastbound and westbound during the week of Monday, June 10.  
Lane closures will be in place during the construction operations and traffic will be able to travel through the work zones.    The schedule for the work and lane closures will be as follows:

Stockbridge Grange Hosts Community Dinner

Bidwell House: Unlearning in Order to Learn

This lecture with discussion will present the concept of unlearning what we already "know" as the starting point for learning about Indigenous peoples.

Fairview Lab Draw Station Moves to New Location

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Berkshire Health Systems (BHS) has announced that the Laboratory blood draw station at Fairview Hospital, called the Laboratory Patient Service Center (PSC), has been moved to the ground floor of the hospital.   The relocation to the former medical records space puts the PSC closer to the main entrance of the hospital.   The new area is designed to enhance patient privacy and patient comfort, according to Kathy Lavinio, outreach manager for Laboratory Services at BHS.    "Located in the area that was previously Medical Records, patients no longer navigate an elevator and wait in the hallway for service.
