MassDOT Advisory: Lane Closures in Otis

OTIS, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing lane closures along I-90 will be in effect beginning Monday, April 1, at 7:00 p.m., in Otis and Blandford.   These include: Lane closures on I-90 westbound, in Otis and Blandford, between mile markers 23.5 and 27.0. Berkshire Adult Baseball League Welcomes Players for 13th Season

PITTSFIELD, Mass. –  As it enters its 13th season, the Berkshire Adult Baseball League has a new commissioner.   Jared Martin takes over the reins this spring from BABL founder Lou Orazio.   The league, which has games mostly on Sunday mornings with some weeknights throughout the season, runs from early May through mid-August in two divisions, the 20-and-over Division and the 33-and-over Division.   “The 20+ year old division is full of mostly competitive players, while the 33+ year old division is a more fun environment and less on the competitive side of things,” Martin said.   As of late March, the league has 13 teams lined up for the 2024

Simon's Rock Awarded Freedom to Read Grant

Chamber Music by Local Composers to be Premiered at Simon's Rock

Governor Swears In Youth Advisory Council

ArtWeek Berkshires 2024 Welcoming Submissions

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — ArtWeek Berkshires, a county-wide collaboration, will take place May 17-27.

The ArtWeek committee posted its call for artists.  The non-juried event is free to all Berkshire County individuals, organizations, and businesses interested in showcasing creative work. Submissions from actors, cartoonists, crafters, dancers, designers, filmmakers, illustrators, mimes, multimedia artists, musicians, performance artists, poets, puppeteers, theater artists, visual artists, writers – and more – are welcome. 

The event will feature open studios, gallery talks, theater, performances, workshops, and more interactive experiences.

Monument Mountain Band, Eagles Community Band Concert
