Simon's Rock Hosting Curiosity Camp This Summer

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Simon's Rock will host the third annual Curiosity Camp this summer from July 16 through July 29, 2023.   Curiosity Camp is open to students interested in exploring academic and creative interests in a college environment while they are currently completing grades 9, 10, or 11. This camp is designed as a two-week exploration of college living.    Students will participate in Simon's Rock's signature Writing and Thinking Workshop along with a Seminar, and arts and science courses to experience diverse and exciting academic offerings. Greylock Federal Opening Expanded Branch on Park Street in Lee

The former Trustco branch in Lee. LEE, Mass. — Greylock Federal Credit Union is investing $2.2 million to purchase and renovate 43 Park St. to support its growing membership.    The credit union purchased the former Trustco Bank for $950,000 from 45 Park Street LLC, according to registry documents. Great Barrington Man Among Judges at Westminster Dog Show

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Resident Thomas W. Coen is among the judges at the 147th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City on May 8-9.      The dog show is set to return to New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows –Corona Park in Queens. In his third judging assignment at Westminster, Coen will judge the Herding Group live on FS1 during the evening competition on Monday, May 8. Hikers Rescued From Mount Washington During Snowstorm

MOUNT WASHINGTON, Mass. — Searchers struggled through more than 2 feet of snow on Tuesday to rescue two hikers lost in Mount Washington State Forest during one of the most powerful Nor'easters in years.    According to State Police, two men, ages 47 and 53, had entered the forest on the Alander Trail and headed for a cabin on the mountain peak but became stranded when they could no longer see the trail markings and darkness was falling. More than a foot of snow had fallen across the region by Tuesday afternoon.    State Police at the Lee barracks were alerted at 7:48 p.m. when one of the hikers was able to call 911 and reached the Berkshire County Sheriff's

Lee Pavement and Bridge Repair Operations
