Egremont Awarded MVP Action Grant03:12PM / Thursday, September 28, 2023 | | EGREMONT, Mass. — The Egremont Select Board announced that it has received a $81,500 climate resilience grant to "Bring Climate Action Home" by the Healey-Driscoll Administration's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) program. The Action funding builds on the Egremont MVP climate resilience planning process completed in 2022, which identified the top climate change impacts being felt locally, that require further study or mitigation. The program is administered by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA). GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — With a second mobile medical van now on the road, CHP Berkshires' mobile health teams are preparing to reach more Berkshire residents in more locations this fall with vaccines for flu, Covid-19 and, for eligible patients, the respiratory virus (RSV) vaccine. CHP anticipates receiving its Covid-19 vaccines in the coming weeks, while flu clinics are well under way. Pittsfield High School graduate Kellie Harrington last week was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for her performance as a first-year harrier at Stonehill College. Harrington placed 21st and helped the Skyhawks finish second as a team at her first collegiate race, a 5-kilometer event at the 41-team UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Harrington and her Stonehill teammates compete this week at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University.
