Great Barrington 10YOs Edge Adams, Earn Rematch with Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Mason Blackwell Wednesday singled to the right side with two out in the bottom of the sixth inning to drive in a pair of runs and give the Great Barrington Little League 10-year-old All-Stars a 14-13, walkoff win over Adams-Cheshire in the Don Gleason District 1 Tournament on Myron Gray Field.   The victory clinched a spot for Great Barrington (2-1) in the championship round of the tournament.   With a record of 2-1, GB will be the second seed in the best-of-three district final that gets under way on Saturday at Deming Park against top-seeded Pittsfield (3-0), a 15-0 winner over Dalton-Hinsdale (1-2) on Wednesday night.   Blackwell’s third hit

West Stockbridge Celebrates 250 Years

WEST STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — On Saturday, July 6, West Stockbridge commemorates its 250th anniversary with a series of events throughout the day.    Festivities begin at 10am at the Old Town Hall on Main Street with a procession, antique vehicle display, readings, and music.    A family BBQ follows at noon, and the afternoon features historic building visits, a scavenger hunt, and a Quarry history talk at Turn Park.    The celebration concludes at 4pm on the Foundry Green with music and cake.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ivey Weller went 2-for-3 at the plate, drove in a pair of runs and gave up one earned run in 1 and one-third innings on the mound Monday to help the Great Barrington 10-year-old Little League All-Stars edge Dalton-Hinsdale, 8-7, in the opening game of the Don Gleason District 1 Tournament.   Great Barrington takes its 1-0 record across town on Tuesday to face Pittsfield at Deming Park. New Marlborough Housing Awarded State Grant

LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing crews will be conducting nighttime paving operations, guardrail work, and bridge repair operations at various locations and times on I-90 eastbound and westbound during the week of Monday, July 1.   Lane closures will be in place during the construction operations, and traffic will be able to travel through the work zones. Fiber Optic Cable Coming to Housatonic Village from Stockbridge Road

Herb Garden Workshops at the Bidwell House
