EforAll Celebrates Accelerator Program Grads

PITTSFIELD, Mass. Entrepreneurship for All celebrated the 2022 Fall Accelerator Program graduates with its first in-person gala and $13,000 in awards.    Around 100 people gathered at the Berkshire Innovation Center on Thursday to recognize the 19 individuals representing 13 businesses that completed the intensive program.    EforAll's free, year-long business accelerator helps a business or non-profit make its vision a reality.  The first quarter of the year is intensive, and the participants check in quarterly for the remainder of the year.    "We have a lot to give.  We came to EforAll to receive mentorship, professional guidance,

Bidwell House Museum Online: Mohican Medicine for the Winter Months

MONTEREY, Mass.— The Bidwell House Museum presents its 3rd annual winter Zoom lecture series, and the topic for the lectures in 2023 will be life in winter for the early residents of the Berkshires.    There will be one lecture each in January, February and March.   In this first lecture on Jan. 18, Misty Cook, a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of the Mohicans, will discuss the history of Medicines throughout the Tribe's history. She will focus on #6 Wild Bergamot, Mullein, and Sumac. Small Business Administration Offers Veteran Certification Program

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Small Business Administration began accepting applications through the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) program as part of the Biden-Harris administration's commitment to expanding access to resources for Veterans and other underserved populations. 

The improvements in the customer experience for Veteran entrepreneurs and business owners made by VetCert will build upon the $25 billion in government contract spending with service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses in fiscal 2021.

Flu Shots Still Available at Big Y Pharmacies

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y Pharmacy and Wellness Centers have administered over 30,000 flu shots this year, a record number for the chain.    Health officials continue to make another urgent push to encourage the public to get vaccinated. In the US, this flu season has been one of the most significant in recent memory with nearly 20 million illnesses, 210,000 hospitalizations and 13,000 deaths from flu so far, according to CDC estimates.
