GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Berkshire Bounty has announced the receipt of several grants from local organizations, including Fallon Health’s Community Impact Grants program, the Mabel Louise Riley Foundation, Greylock Federal Credit Union, and the Josephine and Louise Crane Family Foundation. The funding will support Berkshire Bounty’s operations and its Food Purchase Program, aimed at addressing food insecurity in the region. Call for Art for the Daniel Manacher Prize for Young Artists08:00AM / Sunday, February 16, 2025 | | SANDISFIELD, Mass. — The Sandisfield Arts Center announces the 2025 Call for Art for the 4th Annual Daniel Manacher Prize for Young Artists. Works will be accepted through April 7, 2025. The prize is in support of young artists in Berkshire County. Artist Josephine Halvorson will return as judge for this year's award. Up to three artists will be selected as finalists, each receiving $400 to support their art practice as well as a group show of their work at the Sandisfield Arts Center in the 2026 Gallery season. According to the Berkshire District Attorney's office, both local law enforcement and the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the DA's Office responded to the school. Based on the law enforcement response, the DA's Office stated, there is no active threat to the Mount Everett Regional School community.
