Toasting and Tasting Fundraiser

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Berkshire South Community Center's beer, wine, and spirit tasting event raises funds for the Center's operations.   On Saturday Oct. 19, a Specialty Pairing event begins at 4pm and features fine wines and spirits paired with bites prepared by chef Kevin Kelly of After Hours Catering and presented by sommelier Dan Thomas of the Egremont Spirit Shoppe.    A second event begins at 6pm at which ticket buyers will sip a selection of local libations including beer from Progression Brewing Company, cocktails from Higher Bar, spirits from Cooper's Daughter, and a variety of wines from Dare Bottleshop & Provisions and Domaney's

MA Health Connector Open Enrollment Starts Nov. 1

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Open Enrollment season begins Nov. 1 for customers of the Massachusetts Health Connector, which administers subsidized ACA health plans.    CHP Berkshires is now scheduling appointments to assist area residents with finding new coverage or updating their current plan.    The income limits for Health Connector subsidized plans are now $69,400 for an individual and $155,000 for a family of four. West Stockbridge to Host All-Mozart Harvest Concert

Berkshire Communities Awarded Dam Infrastucture Grants

BOSTON?—The Healey-Driscoll Administration today announced over $13.9 million in grants to support the repair of dams and coastal infrastructure across Massachusetts. The funding, provided through the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs' (EEA) Dam and Seawall program, will help 23 municipalities and nonprofit organizations to address critical repairs and safely remove outdated structures in their communities.  Egremont was awarded $900,000 for the Prospect Lake Dam Repair Adams was awarded $94,125 for a Fisk Brook Dam Removal Feasibility Study Hinsdale was awarded $115,500 for a Belmont Dam Gatehouse Replacement Plan  The Dam and Seawall program

STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that crews will be performing nighttime traffic marking, guardrail, and bridge repair operations along I-90 eastbound and westbound from Tuesday night, Oct. 15, through Thursday night, Oct. 17.    Lane closures will be in effect, and traffic will be allowed through the work zones. CHP Berkshires Completes Dental Expansion

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — CHP Berkshires celebrated the reopening of Great Barrington Family Dental at its new brick-and-mortar location on Stockbridge Road, with staff, friends and supports, board, some patients and representatives from MassHealth's Boston office.   The state-of-the-art dental practice is the final step in CHP's dental expansion throughout the Berkshires: since 2022, CHP has established practices in North Adams, Adams and Great Barrington, in order to expand dental care access to for thousands of Berkshire County residents. Triplex to Screen 'Made in Massachusetts'
