  DALTON: Dalton Community Recreation Association hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt on the CRA Memorial Lawn with the first hunt beginning at 9 a.m. It will be a busy weekend for the bunny because there will be a visit from the Easter Bunny and candy donated by the Benefit Association.   LENOX: The Lenox Community Center hosts its annual Easter egg

Furry Friends Join Lee Elementary School's 'Walking Bus'

Children pet one of the pups who participated in the walk. Started in 2019, the Walking School Bus invites an organization to walk with it each month.  LEE, Mass. — Furry friends escorted Lee Elementary pupils to school on Wednesday as part of a monthly event called the Walking School Bus.   They began at the town park, walked down Main Street, and then up the hill to Greylock Street led by several canine pals.   "It's a big community effort every month," physical education teacher Jennifer Carlino said. New Funding Helps CHP Complete Phase 1 of Dental Expansion Project

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — With the addition of clinical space in North Adams, Community Health Programs (chp) has completed the first phase of its countywide dental expansion project, and design work is now under way for a new dental practice facility in Adams.   These steps are part of CHP's multi-year plan to improve dental care access in the Berkshires who rely on MassHealth. Due to low reimbursement rates, fewer dental practices accept MassHealth. CHP intends to fill this widening gap.   A $60,000 award from the Gilson Family Foundation is supporting the dental expansion in Northern Berkshire, along with a $25,000 gift from the William J. and Margery S. Barrett Fund
