PITTSFIELD, Mass. — An internal affairs report contends that Pittsfield Police Officer Michael McHugh attempted to cover up an assault committed by a friend.
McHugh had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, misleading a police officer or other person, and being a public employee making a false report on July 12.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Credit Union of the Berkshires was robbed Tuesday afternoon.
Police say at 12:38 officers responded to the branch in the William Street Plaza after a man entered the credit union, brandished a weapon, demanded money, and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white man in his early 40s with "scruffy facial hair wearing large dark sunglasses and a gray baseball cap with dark curly hair sticking out."

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Thomas S. Leavitt has been named president and chief executive officer of MountainOne Financial Partners effective Sept. 4, according to Dan Bosley, chairman of the MountainOne Board of Directors.
Leavitt will also assume a seat on the MountainOne Board. Current MountainOne CEO Steve Crowe, who helped initiate the succession planning process, recently announced his retirement. Crowe will continue to serve on the MountainOne Board.

Pittsfield Credit Union Robbery Suspect Nabbed in BostonStaff Reports, 03:49PM / Thursday, April 05, 2012 | |
Brenda Santos had a not guilty plea Friday morning in Central Berkshire District Court on a single count unarmed robbery. Santos is being accused of robbing Greylock Federal Credit Union on March 30.
Judge Rita Koenigs ordered that Santos be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $250,000 cash or $2.5 million surety bail. Santos is scheduled to return to court on May 4.

PITTSFIELD, Mass.— Police released security photos of the woman who is suspected to have robbed an Elm Street credit union.
On Friday, a female dressed in a baseball hat and sunglasses robbed Greylock Federal Credit Union.
She took off running toward Harry's Supermarket with an undisclosed amount of money. Police performed an extensive search but to no avail.
In hopes of gaining information from the public, Police released photos of the suspect on Monday.
