LEE, Mass. — The Lee Historical Society will mount exhibit titled "Lee Earns A Living" throughout the month of July in the Scolforo Gallery in the Lee Library, 100 Main Street in Lee.
The exhibit will trace the development of the local business and professional community from the early days of 80-100 years of homespun living to today.
The arrival of peddlers, general stores, professional services and later specialty stores will be shown.
The exhibit will be liberally illustrated with photos, ads and business correspondence. It will include complete business listings for 1860 (about 40), 1934 (about 100) and 2021 (about 350).
The exhibit is free and open to the public and can be seen during library hours by inquiring at the desk.
