BCC to Welcome New Students with Special Events

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Community College (BCC) welcomes students enrolled for the fall 2021 semester with a week of events designed to encourage student engagement. 
 
All events, ranging from psychic readings to rock climbing, are free.
 
Schedule of events:
 
Tuesday, September 7:
  • 11 am–1 pm: Mr. Ding-a-Ling Ice Cream Truck. Beat the heat with a free ice cream treat from the beloved truck. Location: Main Campus Circle.
  • 2–3 pm: Virtual Student Government Association (SGA) Meet & Greet. Meet BCC's new and returning SGA members and learn how to get involved. Location: Zoom (visit www.berkshirecc.edu/news-events for link).
Wednesday, September 8:
  • 2–3 pm: Sport Club Information Session. Interested in sports clubs at BCC? Come get to know other interested students, enjoy some refreshments, and learn how to join. Location: Paterson Field House.
  • 6–8 pm: Virtual Psychic Reading with Fun Enterprises.Participants must have access to stable, reliable Wi-Fi, have a computer or device with a camera, and be in well-lit room. Location: Zoom (visit www.berkshirecc.edu/news-events for link).
Thursday, September 9:
  • 10 am–12 pm: Caricatures with Fun Enterprises. Location: BCC Main Campus at the Connector.
  • 1–2 pm: The Two Shapes Everyone Should Be Able to Draw. Meet and draw with Professor of Fine Arts Lisa Griffith, who will lead a one-hour workshop students on how to draw a sphere and a cube. All are welcome while supplies last. Location: Room K-118.
Friday, September 10:
  • 11 am–1 pm: Virtual Psychic Reading with Fun Enterprises. Participants must have access to stable, reliable Wi-Fi, have a computer or device with a camera, and be in well-lit room. Location: Zoom (visit www.berkshirecc.edu/news-events for link).
 
Saturday, September 11:
  • 9:30–11:30 am: Bouldering at Central Rock Gym. Expert and beginner rock climbers alike are invited to join the Adventure Program for a couple hours of climbing and instruction. Location: Meet at BCC Paterson Field House.
