Investigation Into Sheffield Triple Fatal Crash Continues

SHEFFIELD, Mass. — State and local police are still investigating a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision that killed three and hospitalized five people Tuesday morning.
 
At approximately 5:30 a.m., a northbound Toyota Sienna minivan and a southbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck collided on Route 7 near Pike Road.
 
Three occupants of the Sienna, 27-year-old Prem Kumar Reddy Goda, 22-year-old Pavani Gullapally, and 22-year-old Sai Narasimha Patamsetti, died on scene. The State Police Detective Unit notified family members and designees of the decedents and the Consulate General of India in New York.
 
EMS transported four other occupants, 23-year-old Manoj Reddy Donda, 22-year-old Sridhar Reddy Chinthakunta, 23-year-old Vijith Reddy Gummala, and 22-year-old Hima Ishwarya Siddireddy, to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield for treatment. EMS transported the driver and sole occupant of the Silverado, 46-year-old Armando Bautista-Cruz, to Fairview Medical Center in Great Barrington for treatment.
 
Law enforcement identified the occupants of the Sienna as international college students, six studying at the University of New Haven in Connecticut and one at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. The operator of the Silverado lives in Sheffield.
 
The Sheffield Police Department and the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney's Office are investigating the circumstances of the collision and request that anyone with information contact detectives at 413-499-1112.
 
The Sheffield Police Department, Sheffield Fire Department, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Berkshire District Attorney's Office, and multiple in-state and out-of-state EMS units responded to the scene.
