GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires (NPC) has a new staff member and two new board members.
Sarah Blexrud of South Egremont joins the NPC in the senior position of Director of Operations. Blexrud will oversee finance, membership, marketing, and administration, and assist with strategy and program development. She reports to founder and Executive Director Liana Toscanini. Blexrud previously served as Administrative Director at Berkshire Waldorf High School and Communications Specialist at Canyon Ranch.
"The Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires has grown considerably since its founding in 2016, and especially since COVID, which resulted in increased demand for our programs and services. Sarah's experience in education and administration is a great fit for NPC at this time," said Liana Toscanini, Executive Director of the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires.
The Nonprofit Center's board has grown to ten members with the addition of Laurie Werner, a development consultant, and Katherine Grubbs, attorney in charge of the Berkshire County office of the public defender's division for the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS).
The Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires was founded in 2016 with a mission to help nonprofits connect, learn and grow. Through 28 programs and services, the NPC serves as a vital clearinghouse for information and support to the nonprofit sector and community volunteers.
