EGREMONT, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced it will be installing a temporary traffic signal on Main Street (Route 23 and 41) near the intersection of Creamery Road in Egremont.

 

The traffic signal will be installed at the location of an existing drainage culvert that is scheduled to be replaced in July 2023. The current condition of the culvert necessitates the traffic signal installation. 

 

Traffic will be alternating northbound and southbound utilizing the traffic signal.

 

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. 

 

All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency.
