LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that crews will be conducting daytime and overnight hour pavement milling, slope stabilization, bridge and drainage repair operations on I-90 eastbound and westbound in Lee, Becket, and Otis. The work will be conducted at various times and locations from Tuesday, Oct. 10 through Friday, Oct 13.
Lane closures will be in place during the construction operations and traffic will be able to travel through the work zones. The schedule for the work and lane closures will be as follows:

Guardrail repairs and pavement marking installation will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound and westbound between mile marker 7.4 and mile marker 21.8 from Tuesday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.

Paving operations will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound between mile marker 10.0 and mile marker 14.7, from Tuesday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.

Paving operations will take place at the Lee service plaza on I-90 westbound on Thursday, Oct. 12, from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The front entrance and back loop will be temporarily closed until 2:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.
MassDOT also announced paving operations at I-90 eastbound mile marker 10 (Interchange 10) in Lee, which will require the closure of the I-90 eastbound on and off-ramps.
The closure will be in place Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
The detours will be as follows:

I-90 eastbound off-ramp: detour will be I-90 eastbound to Interchange 41 off-ramp, to Interchange 41 westbound on-ramp, onto I-90 westbound back to Interchange 10 westbound off-ramp.

I-90 eastbound on-ramp: detour will be I-90 westbound to Interchange 3 off-ramp, to Interchange 3 eastbound on-ramp, onto I-90 eastbound back to Interchange 10 westbound off-ramp.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
