LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that bridge painting operations will be performed on the I-90 bridge over Route 20 in Lee beginning Sunday night, Oct. 6. The work will take place Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and will conclude on Friday, Oct. 11, at 5:30 a.m.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during the work with a lane shift. The Route 20 eastbound on-ramp to I-90 will be closed at all times during this work. Traffic will be detoured to the nearby Route 20 westbound on-ramp to I-90.
Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
