WEST STOCKBRIDGE, Mass.— The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that various infrastructure work, including bridge painting, bridge repair, guardrail installation, and drainage structure operations, will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound between Monday, May 12, and Friday, May 16.
The work will necessitate lane closures at different locations along I-90 during both daytime and overnight hours.
In West Stockbridge, bridge painting will occur on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 1.3 from Monday, May 12, through Friday, May 16, between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Guardrail work is scheduled on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 0.0 to 1.0 from Monday night, May 12, through Thursday night, May 15, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
In Stockbridge/West Stockbridge, guardrail work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 3.0 to 4.5 from Monday night, May 12, through Thursday night, May 15, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the following morning. Drainage structure work is scheduled on I-90 westbound from mile marker 7.8 to 0.0 from Monday night, May 12, through Thursday night, May 15, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
In Becket, bridge repair work will take place on I-90 eastbound at mile marker 18.4 on Monday, May 12, and Tuesday, May 13, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Bridge repair work is also scheduled on I-90 westbound at mile marker 18.4 from Wednesday, May 14, through Friday, May 16, between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Guardrail work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 20.0 to 21.0 on Monday, May 12, and Thursday, May 15, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be present to guide drivers through the construction zones.
Motorists traveling through these areas should anticipate delays, reduce their speed, and proceed with caution.
