MassDOT: Road Work in Lee, Becket

LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be conducting pavement marking operations and bridge, guardrail, and drainage repair work on I-90 eastbound and westbound in Lee, Montgomery, Russell and Becket during the week of April 24.    The scheduled work will require temporary lane and shoulder closures, and is scheduled to take place as follows:   Lee  Drainage repair operations will be conducted daily on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 10 on Monday, April 24, and Tuesday, April 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.   Bridge repair operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 8.3 from

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — CHP Berkshires has named Thomas Duchesne as senior vice president of operations for the countywide health care network.    Duchesne most recently was employed at CVS Health in Rhode Island as the lead director of strategic growth and insights.   Duchesne has previously held management positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, Newport Hospital and Bristol Hospital in Connecticut, in addition to having other professional experience in the health care industry.   He will oversee CHP's medical, dental and mobile health operations, collaborating with other CHP leaders to plan and execute strategic initiatives. GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The violin and piano team of Ronald Gorevic and Larry Wallach will offer the third installment of their traversal of the complete Mozart violin sonatas on Sunday, April 23, at 3 pm in Kellogg Music Center on the campus of Bard College at Simon's Rock.    The public is invited, and admission is free.    This is the third cycle of sonatas the team has presented. Earlier ones surveyed the works of Brahms and Beethoven. Intersection Conflict Warning System Installed at Monument Mountain Regional High School

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has installed a new Intersection Conflict Warning System (ICWS) at the intersection of Route 7 and Mountain Regional High School Drive in Great Barrington.    The new system, which is located at the driveway to the Mountain Regional High School, seeks to help improve intersection safety and reduce crashes at this heavily traveled location. Great Barrington CPA Committee Recommends Funds for Housing, Historic Preservation, Conservation

Simon's Rock to Host Discovery Day

Great Barrington Earth Day Collection Bag Pickup

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — residents can pick up their Earth Day trash collection bags starting Monday, April 17, at locations around town.   The town-wide Earth Day clean-up is Saturday, April 22, and town residents are encouraged to pitch in with a town-wide clean-up.   Collection bags can be filled with roadside trash and left for pickup by the town. CHP Free Pediatric Bivalent Boosters for Children

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Community Health Programs (CHP) Berkshires Mobile Health team now offers the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric bivalent booster shots for children 6 months through age 4.    These boosters are free.   CHP Mobile Health clinics are held at multiple locations each week around Berkshire County, and the schedule can be found at chpberkshires.org/mobile. These booster shots are free.   The Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent pediatric booster shots are available to children who received three Pfizer-BioNTech primary Covid-19 vaccines of the monovalent type. Children who are at least two months beyond their third monovalent primary vaccine are also eligible.
