EforAll Celebrates Accelerator Program Grads

PITTSFIELD, Mass. Bidwell House Museum Online: Mohican Medicine for the Winter Months

MONTEREY, Mass.— The Bidwell House Museum presents its 3rd annual winter Zoom lecture series, and the topic for the lectures in 2023 will be life in winter for the early residents of the Berkshires.    There will be one lecture each in January, February and March.   In this first lecture on Jan. 18, Misty Cook, a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of the Mohicans, will discuss the history of Medicines throughout the Tribe's history. Small Business Administration Offers Veteran Certification Program

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Small Business Administration began accepting applications through the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) program as part of the Biden-Harris administration's commitment to expanding access to resources for Veterans and other underserved populations.

Flu Shots Still Available at Big Y Pharmacies

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y Pharmacy and Wellness Centers have administered over 30,000 flu shots this year, a record number for the chain.    Health officials continue to make another urgent push to encourage the public to get vaccinated. In the US, this flu season has been one of the most significant in recent memory with nearly 20 million illnesses, 210,000 hospitalizations and 13,000 deaths from flu so far, according to CDC estimates. BRPC to Receive $50K National Endowment for the Arts Grant

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) announced it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to receive a Grants for Arts Projects award of $50,000.    This grant will support the Creative Compact for Collaborative and Collective Impact (C4) Initiative. MCLA to Offer National Girls and Women in Sports Day Clinics

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. –- The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' Athletic Department will host two events on Feb. 4 to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day – an initiative that dates back to 1987 to encourage the participation of girls and women in sports. BCC and BRPC Offer Free 'Choke Saver' Training Certification

PITTSFIELD, Mass. —Berkshire Community College (BCC) and Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) will offer a free Choke Saver Training class offered on various dates in several locations throughout Berkshire County.     The 75-minute class provides participants with a two-year certification.    Local businesses, such as restaurants, that are required to have Choke Safe certified individuals on site are particularly encouraged to participate. CHP Family Services Hosts IEP 101 Workshop

Berkshire Grown Gets $550K Grant
